I'm not sure of the actual stats but it seems like Colorado has been wining games against Bruins in Boston every time they come here for a bunch of years now |

The Bruins are just not a very good team, I'm not sure of what to want for them, obviously you want your Team to Win but, something has to change. freaking Ground Hog Day every-time they hit the Ice, Pasta does something Great, the next line gets hemmed into their own End and gives up a goal |

According to this we have beaten them twice and tied once at home against the Avs since 1995. Last win was 1998. http://mcubed.net/nhl/bos/col.shtml |

Dude, they weren't expected to be very good, in my opinion, they have actually exceeded expectations. They have played better than I thought they would and they play a more exciting brand than they have in years under Claude.
I liked the D better when Miller was out and C. Miller and Morrow was a pairing, I thought they played well. I've seen enough of Spooner also. He's been downright bad and still getting PP1 time and doing zip.
One of McQuaid or Miller has to go, likely Quaider even though I think K. Miller needs to play more within his game and stop his unnecessary pinches etc.
Marchand - Bergeron - Pasta
Vatrano - Krejci - Backes
Belesky - Nash - Czarnik
Accairi - Moore - Schaller
Chara - Carlo
Miller - Krug
Miller - Morrow
That means getting rid of Spooner, Hayes & McQuaid....

The gloom and doom after every loss is getting a bit old. They haven't been playing bad hockey and the defense has been playing fairly well. Regardless of who is in there. It is just the product of the league. They can win or lose any game because for the most part every team is on the same level. That is hockey.
You don't give them nearly enough credit. |

Khudobin looked like he was playing without his pads on, the mackinnon breakaway with the wrist shot from 25 feet and the mitchell (first point of the year!) were BAD. |

Yeah, if Tuukka is in that game it's a totally different outcome. Khubodin doesn't look to be the backup we need. |

All puck luck last night. Bruins should have tallied 8. It's like that in most games this year, where they out shoot the opponent and out play them for about 45 minutes yet can't finish on the chances. The Defense has been above average for a bunch of kids with less than 1000 games played between them. Excluding Z and Chazz Michael Michael of course.
At least that's what I'm seeing. |

Surprised there hasn't been more talk about what I am going to mention. Our backup goaltending has been an absolute DISASTER this year. I had my questions about Dobby's return the second we signed him this past off-season. I felt like his last stint with us went so well in big part due to the stout defense we had at the time. 2 of the 4 goals let in last night were wristers from the hash marks. Those need to be and should be saved. With such a young and less than stellar defense, Dobby is getting exposed while also letting in untimely and soft goals. This is becoming a huge problem this year. Tuukk can't play every game and I feel like every game started by any of our backup goalies is an automatic loss. This needs to be sorted out, and soon
Edit: naturally, two posts about this go up while in the process of writing |

It's true though... I mean i've tried to give him the benefit but he's been garbage. Plain and simple. Even on the Duchene goal last night he was doing pirouettes on the ice with his back turned. He looks lost out there. He hasn't been good on the PP (none of them have but...) he looks like poo

Yeah I agree with you... they're not that bad. In fact I think they're a lot better than most of us thought they were going to be. They're winning games, and I don't think they're even playing to the best of their ability right now. The defense is playing well above where anyone thought they would be. It's the offense that can't get things going. If they can figure out how to get some people not named Pastrnak to put the puck in the net, with the way Tuukka is playing, they could make some noise in the east. |

Oh I agree with you. But both Fountain and I get attacked with total idiocy about how good and talented he is blah blah. He plays one good game and then takes the next 10 off. Isn't this why Lucic was essentially run out of town? |

At at least Lucic was an emotional leader and punched people in the face.
Spooner is like the mouse that only comes out at night to eat sh!t then hide away.
And i have held off forever about b!tching at him, but after last night I was ready to reach through the TV and choke the little turd. |

The guy makes $950k a year and is playing 3rd line with Riley Nash and Austin Czarnik. What are you expecting out of him?
He hasn't played great... not by any means... but he's no Jimmy Hayes out there. |

Yeah makes 950K, but who cares. He's been downright bad. Hayes sucks more thasn anyone, he's an AHLer really, so thats not even a comparison. If he's that good his 3rd line should still be able to produce.
To counter your point, why can't he have expectations on PP1 with Bergeron, Backes, Krug and Krejci? Also, it's not all just points, he's losing every battle, looks lazy, isn't using speed, HORRIBLE on the back check, flops around, not connecting on passes.... So yeah, he's better than Hayes, congrats for beating a 1 legged man in an as$ kicking contest. |

-Playing on back to back nights with travel and less than 24 hours between start times.
-Khudobin between the pipes with only one decent game under his belt this season.
-The Avs just seem to have the Bs number in Boston for some reason.
All things were pointing towards a possible stinker last night and that's exactly what happened.
What I liked though, is that they made a 3-0 snoozefest into a decent hockey game in the matter of a few minutes. And if K Miller wouldn't have taken that bad penalty (good call, bad decision), who knows what would've happened. This team has shown heart, which is something that has been lacking over the last couple of years. Lets hope they can build off of that and hammer my #2 least favourite team on Saturday and my #1 least favourite team on Monday. |

look at number 51 on that first goal. that's indicative of who he is as a player. it's a joke. |

Thats exactly what i was talking about in my post. It's awful. Worst thing is his value is low right now, only thing keeping him at decent value is his 950K price and his RFA status. |
